Supporting Student Scholarships since 2002
Abbondànza (Italian for abundance), is the Faculty of Fine Arts annual student scholarship fundraiser. For 18 years generous sponsors and supporters of the arts have come together for an evening of entertainment, Italian food, and fine art, all to support the passions and dreams of students studying art, drama, music and new media at the University of Lethbridge.
Since its inception, the Abbondànza Scholarship Endowment has awarded more than 115 scholarships to deserving senior students in Art, Drama, Music, New Media, and Multidisciplinary programs. As the endowment continues to grow, the impact of the awards continues to expand.
With re-written terms of reference, the scholarships, which originally went to senior students in art, drama, music, new media and multidisciplinary programs, are now the largest Fine Arts scholarships available to new (entrance), senior (fourth-year), AND graduate-level students.
That’s MORE students, receiving MORE money! MORE money means:
- MORE time to focus on projects instead of working part-time
- MORE financial support of artistic endeavours, projects, opportunities and professional development
- LESS stress struggling to make ends meet
- MORE time to dedicate to creative research and practice
These awards make dreams happen – hear from the students themselves:
