***International Student Exchanges are temporarily unavailable due to travel restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic. We look forward to offering these opportunities again as soon as travel and health restrictions permit. If you are waiting to go on an exchange as part of your program, please contact an academic advisor for possible alternatives.
Why should I go on an international exchange?
The reasons to go on an international exchange are many, including satisfying your desire for adventure, experiencing another culture and learning self-reliance. We often hear from our students that their international exchange taught them about themselves and broadened their perspectives. Don't take our word for it — go on an international exchange and find out for yourself.
What's involved and how can I go?
The International Centre offers full-semester and summer exchanges at more than 46 partner universities throughout the world.
To qualify for an undergraduate exchange you must be:
- a full-time University of Lethbridge student;
- in at least the second year of your program at the time of the exchange;
- in good academic standing, with preference given to those with a 2.5 GPA or higher; and
- responsible for all expenses associated with the exchange, including but not limited to University of Lethbridge tuition, the exchange application fee, travel expenses, health care and living expenses.
Note: Certain students are subject to a residency requirement which may affect their ability to study abroad in their final year. Please contact your academic advisor for more information.
