Beyond This Horizon: How the World Has Changed- and Is Changing

How do you turn future uncertainty into a competitive advantage? That is the true challenge that future professionals in finance and accounting face in a world that has changed radically, and that continues changing as we watch. Futurist and business visionary Richard Worzel, C.F.A. will assess what has happened to the world, what the downstream effects of that are, and where we are likely to go from here.

Richard Worzel has been called today’s leading futurist, with a client list that includes such organizations as Lexus, IBM, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble, the Clerk of the House of Commons, the Department of National Defense, the National Research Council, the TD Bank, Sun Life, Proctor & Gamble, and Coca Cola, among many others.

Richard studied computer science, economics and world trade in university, and has written articles on the future for The Report on Business, Canadian Business magazine, and The Financial Post, among many others.

He started work in the investment industry as an institutional investor, and received the industry’s Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1978. Since 1979, he has run his own consulting firm, helping companies and organizations plan and prepare for the future.

Richard has written five best-selling books, including Who Owns Tomorrow, which reached the Financial Post’s best-seller list in the second week of publication.

Richard lives in Toronto with his wife, Jacky.
