University of Lethbridge News and Information Services is an arm of the Public Affairs office within University Advancement. Consisting of Director of Public Affairs & Government Relations, Richard Westlund, News & Information Manager, Trevor Kenney, and Public Affairs Advisor, Caroline Zentner, the office is the primary source of contact for media relations at the U of L. Responsible for the writing of news releases and coordinating media strategies, the office also creates content for the UNews website, SAM Magazine and UWeekly.
UWeekly: An e-newsletter created every Monday during the academic year and every second Monday during the summer months (June through late August), UWeekly is a look at what's happening around campus, a celebration of the U of L community and the people who contribute to its vibrancy. It also outlines news items primarily of interest to the campus employee community.
To submit a notice for consideration to be included in UWeekly, please make sure it is posted on the Notice Board or in a linkable place on the University website (ie. a Faculty or School-specific home page, or notice column) and forward your request to Trevor Kenney by the Friday prior to creation.
UNews: The official source for news and information about the University of Lethbridge. Located at www.uleth.ca/unews, this website houses content from our print publications, as well as video content, photo galleries, daily news updates and links to our Twitter feed.
Experts Database: An online tool and searchable database that enables users the opportunity to search for University of Lethbridge expertise on a wide variety of subjects
Digital Signage: This includes the internal signage network that consists of 19 screens operating throughout University Hall, the Devonian Walkway, LINC entrance, 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness, Anderson Hall, Alberta Water and Environmental Science Building and Markin Hall.
