Agility Pitch Competition

Compete with your fellow students with your BIG idea!

There are two different ways to compete. The Business Stream and the Idea Stream. Read through the criteria below before you apply so you know what you will need. Your application is submitted using the GUST platform. You will have to create an account with GUST if you do not have one in order to apply.

Step One

Fill out a Business Lean Canvas Model. (Example PDF)

  • Learn how to fill out the Lean Canvas Here
  • What is a Lean Canvas? Lean Canvas is a 1-page business plan template created by Ash Maurya that helps you deconstruct your idea into its key assumptions. This 1-page business model takes under 20 minutes to create.
  • Why the Lean Canvas? Traditional business plans take too long to write, are seldom updated, and almost never read by others. 
     

Step Two

Create an elevator pitch and upload it to YouTube or Vimeo 

Here are some tips and resources that can help you create your elevator pitch video.

  1. Your elevator pitch must be 1 minute or less
  2. What is an elevator pitch? An elevator pitch is a short description of an idea, product, or company that explains the concepts in such a way that the listener can understand in a minute or less. 
  3. Elevator Pitch Guidelines.

  4. Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo

Put it all together by filling out and submitting the Agility Business Pitch Competition application form found in the link below. Submit your pitch by March 15th.

  1. Learn how to fill out the Problem Statement Canvas Here
  2. What is a Problem Statement Canvas? It’s a tool used by start-ups and innovators to help define and understand the complexity of the problem. 
  3. Why the Problem Statement Canvas? Truly identifying a problem means looking deeper at the symptoms, the customer, the impact, the alternatives, the opportunity, and the relationship between them.
