The VR Lab is hosted at the University of Lethbridge by the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The VR Lab consists of a one wall 3D passive stereo Barco Gemini VR system. It has been set up through the WestGrid research project I-HEARD (Immersive Hybrid Environments for Architectural Research and Design) during 2004-2005.

Funding for the WestGrid VR Lab has been mainly provided through the WestGrid/ Collaboration and Visualization Research Program.

The main funding source for the WestGrid Program is the Canadian Foundation for Innovation.
