Waterton Lakes has a booming tourism business. Not only is it a national park, but it also has been designated a world heritage site and is part of the International Peace Park. It boasts interpretive programs, self-guiding trails, hiking and backpacking, horseback riding, fishing, boating and canoeing, boat cruises, skin diving, golfing and, of course, camping. There are beautiful lodges, hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts. There are many tour companies to help tourists find their way.
