The University of Lethbridge Board of Governors has approved the appointment of Sharron (Susie) Kennedy as the University’s Registrar.

Susie Kennedy, currently a PhD candidate in the area of Work and Organizational Psychology at Aston University, is the University's new registrar.

Kennedy is currently the registrar at Lethbridge College where she leads a variety of business units and functions including admissions, academic records, the academic calendar and student information systems.

Provost and Vice-President Academic, Dr. Andy Hakin, says Kennedy’s knowledge of Alberta’s post-secondary sector will be a tremendous asset to the U of L.

“I am very pleased that we were able to recruit Ms. Kennedy to this critical role, says Hakin. “Her experience and abilities speak for themselves, but I also think the U of L will be well-served by her knowledge of our institution and the complexities of Alberta’s post-secondary sector.”

In addition to having significant experience as a registrar, Kennedy has over 10 years experience as a faculty member at the U of L, Athabasca University and Lethbridge College.

“Susie has a proven track record of developing and implementing enrolment management strategies. Her skills and knowledge will be tremendous assets for our institution,” says Hakin.

Kennedy is currently a PhD candidate in the area of Work and Organizational Psychology at Aston University in Birmingham, UK. She holds a master of education from the University of Calgary as well as a master of science in management and a bachelor of management degree from the University of Lethbridge.
