Giving with the future in mind

As a father of two, Kevin Sassa (BMgt '93) shares the same goals for his children as most parents.

"I really want my kids to grow up to be productive people in their community, and I hope they will continue to give back and think of others," says Kevin.

Donor Kevin Sassa is proud to give back to the University after his education helped launch his career.

It's a lesson he can teach his children with ease because it's something he practises first-hand.

"The U of L helped to lay the groundwork for my career. Now I have the opportunity give back and show my appreciation," says Kevin, reflecting on his decision to make a gift of shares at the U of L.

In the end, Kevin's gift turned out to be a win-win situation.

"By making a gift of shares, I received the tax-benefit and the University received my donation - I couldn't go wrong with it," he explains.

"I'm proud to give back to the University and actively participate in the growth of this wonderful institution."
