During Founders' Day Weekend, the U of L launched the Shine On: 50th Anniversary Fund and 50 Hours of Giving.

"Combining Founders' Day Weekend donations made by text or online with contributions received from donors through the annual Alumni direct mail appeal and those made recently by phone through the U of L Call Centre program, we are pleased to report that over $40,000 has already been received," says U of L Director of Development, Barry Knapp. "Shine On: The U of L 50th Anniversary Fund will support student scholarships and bursaries starting in Fall 2017."

Throughout the year, the U of L will be building on the early success of the Shine On fundraising results. If you would like to donate $25 to the U of L by text, you can do so before the end of January by texting SHINEON and your full name and email address to 45678. Throughout 2017, gifts can be made online to Shine On here. Donations made online count towards your yearly SOS contribution.
