The UofL Network
We live in pretty exciting times in regard to the technology available
to us today. The UofL strives to be a leader in this race into the
future.
The network core at the UofL consists of a Gigabit Ethernet backbone. Our corporate network is a three tiered network with GigE at the core, a 10/100 switch that is uplinked at GigE in the middle, and then 10/100 switches at the edge, which then extend to every office and ultimately to the desktop. At the UofL, we have 10/100 switched ethernet to almost every desktop.
