CRDC and CAETL merged and became the Teaching Centre. This was done for a variety of reasons. We have combined departments and therefore services and resources as well. This merger has also caused us to revisit our mandate and strategic priorities. Because of this we have added some new services and initiatives such as publishing a magazine, and have lost other services such as videoconferening.
Give the Teaching Centre a call to discuss what we can do for you, or read more about our services here.
MoodleAnswers is a website that has tutorials and step by step instructions for many common Moodle problems. This is a great place to start if you need some basic Moodle help.
You can email us at teachingsupport@uleth.ca or call our office at 403.380.1856. One of our Educational Consultants that deal with Moodle will be glad to help you. Moodle related educational Consultants include John Kometz, Alyssa Di Rocco or Jeff Meadows.

If your video project involves your teaching we may be able to work with you. You can contact Todd Doucette to discuss your project to see if it fits within the Teaching Centre's strategic priorities. Video projects that don't involve teaching is something we do not do.
We don't loan out production equipment. We have some consumer equipment that can be borrowed such as pocket video cameras. The cameras can be booked ahead of time and picked up when you need them. The library also loans out equipment to instructors and students. You can see if they have the equipment to meet your needs.
Videoconference Services have transitioned to the IT Department. If you would like to book a videoconference or need technical support for your videoconference, please contact the Solutions Centre at 403-329-2490
If you are unclear about what information you need to provide IT for a videoconference, you can contact Tyler Heaton in the Teaching Centre at 1856

Although we have many technically skilled individuals here at the Teaching Centre, we do not actually build websites for anyone. You should contact the IT web team if you need a website built for anything UofL related.
Yes, we can film your class presentation, or you can borrow one of our pocket cameras for filming as well. You can contact Todd Doucette to discuss your needs.
We can consult with you and provide you some constructive feedback, but in no way do we perform formal teaching evaluations.
If you have participated in a Teaching Centre event, we will provide you a letter of thanks and participation, but it will not be an endorsement for your teaching that could be used for your PAR.
