What is Sustainability?
In general terms, sustainability is the managing of natural resources in an effective manner to meet our needs and to preserve and maintain them for future generations.
Our interest in sustainability is taken one step further by creating a vision towards a greener campus which would enhance the learning experiences and provide a place where conservation values meet a nurturing educational environment. The influences and education provided by the University of Lethbridge go beyond the classrooms and lecture halls, and into the development of the civic responsibility and environmental consciousness.
Our understanding of sustainability is very personal and influenced greatly by our ecological identity. We invite you to peruse our website and come up with your own interpretation of sustainability and the differences you can make within our university community and within your own environment.
