Pause for Paws

The Student Success Centre and the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs will be returning to the Library in Fall 2018 for "Pause for Paws"! St. John Ambulance certified therapy dogs regularly visit campus to spend some time with students. Many people benefit both physically and emotionally from interaction with a calm dog, and we find that students love it when the dogs are on campus. We try to schedule at least one visit per month, but dates are dependent on dog and volunteer availability.

What to expect during a visit:

  • 10-15 minute visit with a dog, handler, and small group of students
  • an opporuntity to pet the animal, ask the handler questions, and be present in the presence of a furry friend
  • colour a mandala and enjoy snacks while you wait for your turn to visit

Fall 2018 Visits TBD

Pause for Paws is brought to you by the Student Success Centre in partnership with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Service.
