#I Believe You
“I Believe You” : Three simple words that heal and help prevent sexual assault.
Why “I Believe You”?
One of the common themes among sexual assault survivors is that they don’t disclose or get help out of fear of not being believed. It’s also one of the traps set by perpetrators—they tell their victims not to say anything because “no one will believe you.” Believing overcomes the guilt and shame that many survivors feel, and gives them the confidence and support to get help and find healing.
The Uleth Community has supported the #IBelieveYou Campaign for two years in a row. To see a video created by ORS for the 2016 Campaign: Click Here
Uleth will once again be strongly supporting the campaign and message in 2017. Encouarge your team, group, and friends to participate and/or stop by the First Choice Savings Center on September 11th from 11am-2pm to Add Your Voice and write on the Graffiti Wall!
