Our Programs

The Faculty of Arts and Science offers majors in over 30 disciplines. Degrees offered: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), and Bachelor of Arts and Science (BASc.).

Our Philosophy

One of the most common things we hear about UofL grads is this: "They're thinkers." And we like to think the Faculty of Arts and Science plays a substantial role in helping all UofL students become thinkers. Because that's the biggest job of our faculty: building minds as part of the UofL's unwavering commitment to Liberal Education.

What We Offer

The Faculty offers programs covering subjects that are considered core knowledge necessary for all other learning. We give you the broad range of skills and ideas and concepts that really are the foundation for everything you go on to do in life.

Beyond the Classroom

The classroom isn't the only centre for learning option available to you: Co-operative Education/Internship Programs differ from other forms of education in that they formally integrate a student's academic and career studies on campus with relevant and productive work experience in industry, business or government.

Applied Studies is a learning option in which students earn academic credit for learning gained through employment or volunteer experience. There are many ways to learn and grow at the UofL - explore the possibilities!
