International Admission Requirements - Bangladesh

Applications are welcome from prospective students:

  • completing Class 12 (Higher Secondary Certificate/Intermediate Certificate);
  • transferring with Pass or Honours Degree course credits;
  • with Pass or Honours degrees; and
  • with previous university degrees.
Higher Secondary Certificate

Class 12 graduates who present the Higher Secondary Certificate with First Division pass or better in the five Class 12 subjects (with the highest grades) are admissible.

  • The best five Class 12 subjects must include English, and four other academic subjects.
Transfer admission Transfer applicants who present either of the following are admissible:
  • Acceptable Class 12 qualifications (see above) and three or more transferable Pass or Honours degree courses with a minimum of 45% (Class/Division) in each course; or,
  • Eight or more transferable Pass or Honours degree courses with a minimum of 45% (Second Class/Division) in each course.

Transfer applicants presenting Pass or Honours degrees with a minimum of 45% (Second Class/Division) will also be considered for admission.

Transfer applicants presenting four-year university degrees (BSc (Engineering) and Master of Arts, Science or Commerce) from recognized universities with a minimum Second Class/Division pass will be considered for admission to second Bachelor degree programs.
International Baccalaureate qualifications Applicants presenting International Baccalaureate diplomas are eligible for general admission to the University.
English Language Proficiency Not applicable for students whose first language is English.
Canada Immigration Allow at least 40 days for Canada Immigration to process your application for a student visa.

Be prepared to present evidence of adequate funding: Canada Immigration will want to see that you have the equivalent of at least C$10,000 (excluding tuition costs) to cover the costs of your first year of study in Canada.
