About the Faculty of Fine Arts

Our Programs

The Faculty of Fine Arts offers programs in the following majors: Art, Dramatic Arts, Music, Multidisciplinary, and New Media. Degrees offered: Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) and Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.).

Our Philosophy

The Faculty of Fine Arts believes that being an artist (in art, theatre, music or new media) involves more than developing technical skills. It also involves developing a theoretical background and an understanding of the history of your discipline. Building upon this base, we give you a chance to expand your horizons through courses outside of the fine arts. This added dimension prepares you to draw from all aspects of society in forging your own unique creative identity.

What We Offer

The Faculty has taken a creative approach in adapting to the winds of change in university education. We have reviewed, restructured and emerged with an energetic focus on what we do best. We challenge you on an intellectual adventure with the Faculty as your guide. At your disposal are the faculty, facilities and technology to help you acquire valuable job skills, increase your knowledge and hone your analytical skills and imagination to meet the challenges of shaping the fine arts in a global community.

Beyond the Classroom

Students develop their creative skills and abilities through participation in a wide array of art exhibitions, music concerts, new media presentations, and theatre productions.
