Errata and Addenda

A list of corrections and post-publication updates to the print edition of the 2008/2009 Calendar, which have been changed in the online edition, will be posted at this location. Check back regularly to stay informed of changes.

Part 1 - Admission
p. 41 Application Fee Increase Effective September 1, 2008, the application fee will increase from $60 to $75. Subsequent applications for readmission to a level of studies are assessed an application fee of $15.
Part 3 - Fees
p. 56 Summer Session 2008 Fee Schedule CKXU fees are $1.67 per session, not $1.00 per session.
p. 58 Graduate Programs Fee Schedule CKXU fees are $1.67 per summer session, not $1.00 per session.
UPASS and Daycare contributions will not be assessed in Summer 2008.
p. 59 Master of Education and Master of Counselling Graduate Programs Fees table International students in the M.Ed and Master of Counselling Programs are assessed tuition fees at a rate of an additional 125% than that of Canadian students.

Part 4 - Academic Regulations, Policies, and Program Requirements
p. 69 Required Withdrawal - Terms of Conjoint Admission The Conjoint Admission policy has been replaced with Conditional English Proficiency Admission (see Part 1 - Admission, Section 5.d., p. 37). Students admitted under the Conditional English Proficiency provision must:
  • Successfully complete each level of EAP in no more than two attempts, and
  • Maintain continuous registration in EAP during Fall, Spring and Summer semesters until the ELP requirement is satisfied.
Part 7 - Faculty of Arts and Science
pp. 138 - 140 Music major A Music elective was added to both the Theory/History Stream and the General Stream, increasing the requirements for the major from 15 courses to 16 courses.
Part 9 - Faculty of Fine Arts
New Theatre Studies Major! See Part 9 in the online calendar for details.
Part 10 - School of Health Sciences
New Public Health Program! See Part 10 in the online calendar for details.
  B.H.Sc. - Addictions Counselling Medicine Hat College's Health Studies 210 (Health Sciences 1020) was replaced with Interdisciplinary Studies 100 (Health Sciences 1020).
Part 13 - Combined Degrees
p. 233 B.A./B.Ed. - Music/Music Education Music 3460 was added to the Theory list, increasing the requirements for the Music major from 15 courses to 16 courses.
p. 268 B.A./B.Mgt. - Music major A Music elective was added to both the Theory/History Stream and the General Stream, increasing the requirements for the major from 15 courses to 16 courses.
