Joint Biosafety & Radiation Safety

The Joint Biosafety/Radiation Safety Committee (JBRSC) acts on behalf of the University as an advisory committee for all activities within the University community involving biohazardous/infectious materials, nuclear substances, radiation devices, and designated radiation equipment capable of emitting x-ray or laser radiation.

All activities must be conducted safely and in conformance with generally accepted standards as required by the University’s defined safety programs.

All activities must comply with applicable federal and provincial legislation along with relevant standards and guidelines.
