Schott, Charlie

Faculty of Education
1922 to 2004

August 22nd 2004: SCHOTT, Charles J. Charlie was born in New York City, and lived for many years in upstate New York. Later he and his family moved to Iowa, and finally to Lethbridge, where he was a professor in the Faculty of Education from 1968 to 1991. He was greatly respected by his students who regarded him as a beloved teacher and mentor. He was a fascinating table-companion, whether the topic was American history and politics, painting, music and of course the theatre; for Charlie was a fine actor, successful on the University stage, acting with Playgoers of Lethbridge, and even performing in a local pantomime.
