What is Technology Transfer?

The dissemination of technical knowledge, skills, and products from one point of origin to a broader sphere of use (for example, industry, government and academia) is referred to as "technology transfer".

This transferring of knowledge can take place through a number of different channels such as research partnerships, licensing agreements, joint ventures, collaborative research between industry, government, and non-profit organizations.
