How do I find funding?

Research Services provides information on various funding opportunities through a variety of mediums including electronic distribution lists, information sessions and newsletters.  Researchers should also consult with the appropriate subject librarian and/or the Community of Science Funding Opportunities database.

  • The Community of Scholars Funding Opportunities database is the largest, most comprehensive database of funding available from private foundations, public agencies, federal governments and corporations.
  • The COS Funding Alert is a personalized electronic notification service of funding information.  Subscribers receive a weekly email with a customized list of funding opportunities.
  • The Subject Librarians provide specialized reference and instruction service in their assigned subject fields.
  • PapersInvited Designed specifically for researchers and graduate students, this database is a multidisciplinary alerting service for upcoming conferences worldwide, as well as calls for papers for special issues of scholarly journals.
