The technology transfer managers work with researchers to assess the commercial potential of their inventions. We assess and evaluate the technologies with services such as patent searches and market research. In addition, we find partners, licensees or investors to allow new discoveries to develop into new products, processes, tools, and services. The office manages agreements and contracts that involve IP provisions such as Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Research Service Agreements, or Confidentiality Agreements.

 The UILO will continues to evaluate and develop new channels for commercialization and knowledge dissemination; work with partnering organizations; and find the most effective way to integrate these into our activities in order to ensure that U of L can continue to lead the way in generating innovative and transformative technologies.
