NSERC Connect

NSERC Connect Grants provide financial support for the Canadian research community to undertake activities that will help make Canada a country of discoverers and innovators for the benefit of all Canadians. These activities must advance NSERC's Research Partnerships and/or one or more of the goals outlined in NSERC's 2020 Strategic Plan. All activities must have outcomes related to NSERC and/or plans for future applications to NSERC. Applications for Connect grants are accepted year-round.

The Connect Grant has 2 levels:

Level 1: Up to $5000

They support:

-Domestic travel costs to develop new NSERC academic-industry partnerships

Level 2: Typically up to $5000, exceptionally up to $25,000

They support:

-New academic industry partnerships

-Student-industry training opportunities

-Goals of NSERC's 2020 Strategic Plan

NEW: NSERC’s Research Partnerships programs are being renewed. As a result, the Connect Grant program  will only accept applications for events or travel to take place on or before March 31, 2019. These applications must be uploaded to the NSERC Connect Grants Secure Upload Site no later than 8:00 p.m. (ET) on January 18, 2019. Commitments for previously awarded Connect Grants will be honoured.
