Diabetes, Obesity & Nutrition SCN Summer Studentship

The Diabetes, Obesity & Nutrition Strategic Clinical Network™ (DON SCN™) 2018 Undergraduate Summer Studentship program is designed to provide funding support to undergraduate students to participate in research and develop research skills related to glycemic management in hospital, bariatric care in hospital, and/or to the Diabetic Foot Care Clinical Pathway, which are initiatives currently being led by the DON SCN™. The student will be supervised by the Assistant Scientific Director of the DON SCN™. This competition aims to meet the DON SCN™ Research and Innovation objectives of: a) fostering the development of researchers through the training and mentorship of students, and b) collaborating on research related to the priority areas of the DON SCN.


Eligibility
When considering the application, the review process will consider the following criteria:
• Studentship applicants must be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in an undergraduate program at an approved post-secondary academic institution;
• Holders of other full-time, major studentship awards (e.g. CIHR, NSERC, AI, etc.) are ineligible for Studentship awards;
• Students must be enrolled in a health-related program.
