AltaLink Indigenous Scholarships

In 2007, AltaLink launched its Indigenous scholarship program. This scholarship program is designed to recognize leaders in the Indigenous community by offering scholarships to Indigenous students attending post-secondary institutions. Two eligible students from each of Treaty 6, 7, 8 and the Métis community in Alberta will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and:

  • Treaty applicants must be born in Alberta.
  • Métis applicants must either be a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta Association or an Alberta Métis Settlement.
  • If you have received AltaLink’s Indigenous Scholarship in the past you are not eligible to apply again.
  • Preference is given to students who are working on their first degree.
