When you are awarded a research grant or contract, you and/or the Office of Research and Innovation Services will receive a Notice of Award. Your Notice of Award will indicate the period of tenure for your particular grant and the amount of funding to be received.The funds are sent directly to the University and the University holds the money in trust for you. You and the University are both accountable to the funding agency for complying with the terms of the award, and for reporting on how the funds are spent.
