Canada-Mexico Round Table on Aboriginal Higher Education

Sponsored by the Government of Alberta and ScotiaBank, this is the second annual meeting between ten indigenous universities in Mexico and fifteen primarily undergraduate universities in Canada. The first meeting was held in Mexico City in March 2012. This is the first meeting to be held in Canada. National Aboriginal Day is on June 21 in Canada and the round table will honor this day. National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, Shawn Atleo, will be the keynote speaker.

  • To establish key actions for the consortium for future collaboration
  • To help each participant build their own network and engage communities with international partners
