Dr. Constantine Passaris was conferred the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal on October 12, 2012 for his exceptional contributions to New Brunswick and Canada.
The citation read at the ceremony mentioned that Professor Passaris was a “ member of the Academic Scientific Board for the International Institute of Advanced Economic and Social Studies (Italy), recipient of the Commemorative Medal for the 125thAnniversary of the Confederation of Canada, recipient of the Allan P. Stuart Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2003, in 2008 Inducted in the Healthy Active Living Champions by the University of New Brunswick and in 2010 awarded the New Brunswick Ambassador Certificate by the Province of New Brunswick. His extensive
research contributions are in the areas of population economics, immigration, multiculturalism, globalization,economic governance and public policy. “
