Bottle Recycling

Do you throw empty pop cans or water bottles in the garbage?

The U of L Caretaking Services cares about recycling and, effective September 2005, will provide beverage collection containers to every building on campus.

Here are some answers to some common questions:

What bottles can I recycle? These containers will accept empty pop cans, juice and water bottles

Where do I recycle them? Simply drop your containers in any of the blue collection bins pictured below. Bins are located in all classrooms or common areas such as hallways and Students' Union Level 2 food court.

What about the money collected? All proceeds from the bottle recycling program are directed to The Students' Union for the creation of U of L student scholarships.

When you recycle you save landfill space and support the local economy by providing employment through QUEST Support Services who collect and ship the containers to the recycle depot.
