Tyler Los-Jones produces objects and images from his home in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. The work he has produced over the past decade aims to complicate inherited assumptions of environments by bringing the unnatural aspects of the western conception of nature to the forefront. Los-Jones is fascinated by the role photography plays in the production and the fulfilment of our expectations for environments.

Los-Jones has recently exhibited work at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Banff), Division Gallery (Toronto), Art Gallery of Alberta (Edmonton) and Ditch Projects (Springfield, OR). Los- Jones has two exhibitions opening at the end of 2017;Sediments and Sunlight will open at Jarvis Hall Gallery in Calgary on November 24th and a slow light opens at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery on December 9th.

For the December 1st lecture titled Sun Tunnels, Tyler Los-Jones will discuss his research and the work included in the exhibition a slow light at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery.
