SACPA Session — Are you concerned about how hearing loss might impact your memory and thinking as you age?

The Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs (SACPA) presents a session discussing hearing loss and the importance of strategies to maintain proper hearing.

Are you concerned about how hearing loss might impact your memory and thinking as you age?

Please join us for a session that cuts through the confusion surrounding hearing loss and cognitive health with information on:
• A clear breakdown of the links between hearing loss and cognitive decline.
• How your brain health could be affected by untreated hearing loss.
• Strategies to protect your hearing and minimize risks.
• How to identify misleading marketing and scare tactics being used in the hearing health industry.

Speaker: Glenn Hole

Glenn is a published researcher interested in psychoacoustics, hearing aid technology, tinnitus and hyperacusis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Audiology from Bristol University in the UK (2009), an Advanced Studies Certification in Tinnitus and Hyperacusis (2016), and a Master of Science in Clinical Audiology from Salus University (2020). Glenn is undertaking his Doctor of Audiology AuD course and will graduate in 2025. Outside work, Glenn enjoys fitness, music, hiking, camping and spending time with his wife and three young children.

Date/Time: Thursday, May 9, 2024. The presentation begins at noon & concludes at 1 p.m.

Cost: Free, donations, however, are gratefully accepted.

Location: Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO), Dining Room, 500-11 Street S, Lethbridge

Lunch & Refreshments: The Atrium Dining Room will be available by 11:15 a.m. Please arrive early to patronize the LSCO cafeteria and enjoy their excellent variety of good value food options.
