Dr. Gabrielle Houle presents Wood, Paper, Leather, and More: Creators of Masks and Their Materials of Choice.

This talk explores selected mask-making practices in contemporary Europe. Drawing from archival documents, first-person interviews, and participatory observations, “Wood, Paper, Leather, and More” focuses on masks created specifically for the theatre. It offers a rare glimpse into the relationship that exists between artists and the materials they choose to create with.
