KAIROS Blanket Exercise

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The U of L Nursing Student Association is proud to present KAIROS Blanket Exercise - an experiential teaching tool used to raise awareness and increase understanding of the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.

This 1.5 hour participatory workshop, facilitated by Jacinda Weiss, will help participants understand how the colonization of the land we know as Canada has impacted the people who lived here long before the settlers arrived. They will learn how this relationship has been damaged over the years and how they can work towards reconciliation.
