This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme offers university graduates the opportunity to live and work in Japan. Established in 1987, more than 57,000 JET Programme participants from around the world have gone to Japan to improve English language education and promote grassroots level internationalization.  Sponsored by the Government of Japan, it is one of the largest and most respected government-supported exchange programs in the world.

Participants work as either Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs), teaching English in public primary and secondary schools, or as Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs), assisting in various internationally-themed projects at selected local government offices across Japan.

Learn more about the JET Programme at an information session on October 3rd, from 12:00-1:00 pm at the University of Lethbridge, room PE264. Anyone interested in the JET Programme is invited to attend. In the meantime, learn more about the program at www.jetprogramme.ca.
