Fantasy author Terry Pratchett has delighted millions with his “Discworld” series in which a flat earth is carried through space on the backs of four giant elephants riding an even bigger turtle. In this presentation, the power of stories that is central in Pratchett’s Discworld is used as a traveler’s guide to some aspects of the world as imagined by those who think the earth really is flat and the mythology that informs it.
