Dr. RICHARD MUELLER, Professor & Chair, Department of Economics

will give our next "Economics in the Real World Series" talk on:

"THE FUTURE OF WORK IN CANADA"

The Canadian labour market has undergone dramatic changes in the past 25 years. Many people have been displaced from their jobs, and even those with a post-secondary education have not been immune. Since most people derive their livelihoods from labour income, this has left many Canadians anxious about what the future of the labour market holds for them. This presentation will address Canada’s labour market in both a historical and internationally comparative perspective and discuss the future of work in Canada and in Alberta.
