Fall 2017 International Travel Risk Management Orientation Schedule

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

University of Lethbridge students traveling abroad in conjunction with University sponsorship- activities supported or funded by UofL or that involve academic work for credit, are required to attend a pre-departure orientation or complete on-line learning modules prior to departure.

The pre- departure orientation covers UofL policy and procedures in relation to international travel and provides resources on how one may take steps to protect their health, safety and security abroad. Although the orientation is designed for students on exchange, practicum, research and co-op opportunities, it is an orientation open to all University travelers.

The in person orientation occurs in a classroom setting with select dates for connecting video conference to the Calgary campus. The orientation takes approximately 1 hour to complete and prior to attending it is recommended that country specific reports pertaining to your travel be reviewed at the Government of Canada travel abroad pages:  http://travel.gc.ca/travelling/advisories or through International SOS app or web portal.

UPCOMING ORIENTATION TIMETABLE:

ONLINE: Available anytime during the year. Please contact insurance.risk@uleth.ca for set up and login instructions to the courses. Please allow 5 working days for set up.
