I use team-based learning (TBL) in this class.
On Tuesday, the students will take part in application exercises in which they work in teams to answer questions and consider issues.
On Thursday, these same teams take an individual test and then a group test. If you come on this day, there is no need to arrive before 3:30.
Both of these aspects of the TBL are interesting on their own. For those interested in group work in a large classroom, it’s useful to see how they build upon one another. Because this is a large classroom and the students will be engaged in their work, visitors are welcome to drop in and go as they please -- **with the exception of the first 30 minutes of Thursday’s class when they will be taking individual tests.
