The first “It's Been Ugly” Boooo-B-Q will take place on Tuesday October 31.
Head to the Atrium over the lunch hour for a free burger, salad and a drink courtesy of the U of L’s senior admin staff, who want to thank students, faculty and staff for their patience entering mid-terms while we also experience facility construction, detours, classroom reassignments, traffic adjustments, etc…
When we first started planning these projects, one of our project managers said “…it will be ugly but it will be worth it.” So far, so true, but there is light at the end of the tunnel as we see some of our major projects nearing completion.
Halloween just gives people an opportunity to dress ‘up’ or ‘down’ to further celebrate this rare occasion.
To keep with the theme, prizes will be awarded for the ‘Ugliest Costume’ – either employee or student -- so dress your worst and enjoy the experience.
A $100 credit will be placed on either a staff or student ID card for use where campus swipe cards are accepted.
Please note that everyone is welcome – costumes or not – and those who have the courage and fortitude to dress up will be rewarded with more than the opportunity to win some cash -- admiration of your peers, for example.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely, Dr. Bill Cade, President.
