FROM THE JANUARY 2007 LEGEND
The University of Lethbridge Library collects laws, regulations, reports and thousands of departmental documents from governments at all levels. Both print and online documents are available through the Library catalogue and several specialized databases.
The Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII) accesses federal and provincial statutes and court decisions.
E-STAT includes information such as the CANSIM II time series, election statistics, environment data and the Aboriginal Peoples Survey.
Canadian Research Index (Microlog) indexes documents from all levels of government - municipal, provincial and federal.
Cansim II offers Canadian socio-economic data, and the Canadian Census Analyser has detailed census data.
Researchers look to government documents for:
• Uniquely Canadian information – current and historical – in areas such as education, science, technology, health, justice and consumer information
• Statistical data and analysis
• Law and legislative information
For additional information, please contact your subject liaison librarian or ask at the Information Services Desk.
Library Databases is a monthly feature by Librarian Judy Vogt. Please e-mail your story suggestions to Vogt at judy.vogt@uleth.ca.
