GROUNDSWORKER II
The Grounds Maintenance Department requires the services of a qualified Full-time Groundsworker II to commence work as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be required to perform manual work in Grounds Maintenance and will operate various types of garden and light and heavy duty farm equipment proficiently. The nature of the work will vary according to seasonal weather changes and will range from litter picking, maintenance of irrigation systems grass mowing through to snow removal. This position may be required to work a weekend shift from November to March yearly.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,296.00 - $3,645.00 per month.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma, a minimum of 12 months of prior related work experience and a horticultural certificate or diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement along with the ability to perform strenuous physical labour under a variety of seasonal conditions is required.
The candidate must also be able to maintain effective working relationships with the University students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
