The Faculty of Arts and Science requires the services of a qualified Administrative Support II in a full-time continuing position, to commence work as soon as possible.
We are seeking an independent, customer service oriented individual who will take initiative and contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Arts and Science Administrative Support Team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for Arts and Science academic programs, particularly with the Departments of Geography and Biological Sciences, as well as other programs located within the Alberta Water and Environmental Sciences Building.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,313.00 $3,686.50 per month.
The successful candidate will have a two-year Office Administration or comparable diploma and a minimum of three years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven administrative skills (including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, basic financial transactions, on-line tools, web site maintenance, and e mail), with great attention to detail and accuracy are required, as are excellent communication, organizational, record-keeping, filing and telephone skills. The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with interruptions and overlapping deadlines, and exercising independent judgement, while maintaining effective working relationships within the University community.
Preference will be given to candidates who have familiarity with the University of Lethbridge programs and systems, and experience working in a post secondary environment.
