Student Services requires the services of a qualified full time Administrative Support II to commence work as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Native Student Advising the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Native Student Advising office. The incumbent will be responsible for tracking and monitoring the Native Student Advising office budget, including requisitions and transfers; assist in the preparation of major reports; provide direct support to other units as required; schedule appointments; prepare correspondence and minutes, assist the advisor with maintaining student files and e-mail lists, update the U of L (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) FNMI website; run BANNER reports, organize meetings, support and organize various student events on and off campus and other associated duties.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,313.00 - $3,686.50 per month.


The successful candidate will have a related two-year college diploma and one year of related office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful incumbent will have strong record and filing management skills. An intermediate level of proficiency with computers (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access Data Base and e-mail) and excellent keyboarding and accuracy skills are required. Experience in the Banner SIS system is an asset. The candidate will also have excellent communication, and organizational skills, as well as and a strong customer service orientation. At busy times of year, this position requires a flexible schedule.
