The University of Lethbridge invites application for a full-time Student Recruitment Officer to commence as soon as possible.

Reporting to the Manager, National Recruitment, the Student Recruitment Officer will help execute the strategic recruitment programs and advising services for prospective students, parents, teachers and counsellors. The major responsibilities include: delivering recruitment presentations in small and large group settings; representing the U of L at career fairs, secondary school visits and college visits; building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders; advising prospective students, parents and counsellors on all aspects of academic program options through many mediums; contributing to the development, delivery, and execution of programming and special events; providing tours and orienting prospective students and others to the U of L; and performing additional related duties as required. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel extensively throughout the year, as well as work evenings and weekends as required.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree. Previous experience should demonstrate strong communication, organization and time-management skills; work-related experience travelling alone for extended periods of time; knowledge of the distinctive programs and opportunities offered at the University of Lethbridge and within the secondary and post-secondary educational systems in Alberta; and existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the area of student liaison/recruitment and post-secondary education. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team. A valid Canadian driver’s license is required, and the incumbent must also be prepared for the periodic lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
