The University of Lethbridge Faculty Of Management requires a Technical Specialist II (Trading Room Coordinator) to commence work as soon as possible. This is a one year maternity leave replacement ending October 31, 2013.

Reporting to the Academic Trading Room Director, the successful candidate is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the trading room, mastering a variety of financial/trading application and data sources, training faculty and students on the effective use of these financial/trading applications and data sources, operating audio visual equipment and backend technology infrastructure, working with other individuals to help run the trading room, as well as researching and integrating, where appropriate, new financial/trading applications. The incumbent works closely with faculty, students, Information Technology, and Faculty of Management administration.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $4,052.00 - $4,529.00 per month.
Position classification is currently under review.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in finance, in addition to at least 1 year of work-related experience. Knowledge and previous experience with a variety of financial/trading applications and data sources is recommended. The successful applicant must be proficient in desktop environments and be familiar with supporting these environments. An aptitude and interest in technology is recommended. This position requires that the individual work with and assist students, faculty, and staff with varied backgrounds and levels of technical proficiency.
