SENIOR LIFEGUARD
(LIFEGUARD/INSTRUCTOR II)
The Max Bell Regional Aquatic Centre requires the services of a Full-time Senior Lifeguard. to commence work as soon as possible. This position requires evening, week-end and shift work.
The duties and responsibilities include monitoring all programs and special events to ensure a safe environment, staff supervision, staff training, program administration and coordination, operational and routine maintenance, and other duties as required.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $3,313.00 - $3,686.50 per month.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have a High School diploma and valid certificates in National Lifeguard Service - pool option, Standard First Aid (current within 2 years), Swim for Life Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, and CPR Level C & AED (current within 1 year). The incumbent must possess the ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical exertion, and maintain effective working relationships with students, the University community and the general public.
Preference will be given to those candidates possessing at least one of the following awards: N.L.S. Instructor; First Aid/AED Instructor; SFL/Lifesaving Instructor Trainer.
