The Security Department requires the services of a Security Representative to commence work as soon as possible.

The duties and responsibilities include routine patrol, alarm monitoring and response, investigative work ensuring the security of buildings and property, the control of traffic and parking, and the guidance of students and visitors. The work is performed on a rotating shift.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:$3,558.00 - $3,958.50 per month
Shift premium if applicable.

HOURS OF WORK:8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Rotating shifts.


The successful candidate will be physically fit, fluent in English and possess a two-year college diploma (Criminal Justice) with some prior experience in the law enforcement or security field. Equivalent training and experience will be considered. Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to traffic and security matters; a solid understanding of investigative techniques; a valid First Aid Certificate; a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers extract; and the ability to exercise good judgment and discretion is essential. In addition, the Security Representative must provide the Director, Security Services with the results of the Criminal Record Check prior to appointment and be in possession and maintain a Security Services Operator License in accordance with the Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act. Computer literacy within a Windows and Microsoft Office environment is required.

Knowledge of fire prevention methods and procedures would be an asset.
