The Records Management Department at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified Records Technician to commence work as soon as possible. This is a continuing, part-time (.5 FTE) position.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Records Management, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the Records Centre (processing incoming transfers, monitoring space allocation, and maintaining the database), fulfilling requests for records, preparing inactive records for disposition, liaising with departmental staff and other related duties as required. Physical requirements of this position include lifting boxes up to 40 lbs from the floor to heights of up to 5 feet.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $1,656.50 - $1,843.25 per month.
(FTE $3,313.00 - $3,686.50 per month).


The ideal candidate will have a related college diploma with a minimum of two years experience working in a records management environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of records management standards and best practices would be considered an asset. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills. Additional skills required include excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, sound judgement, and a working knowledge of computers with proficiency in Microsoft Office. The candidate must be able to work independently and succeed with minimal supervision and guidance. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with members of the University community and the general public is essential.
